My mom's Italian Ricotta cookies

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
Zest of 1 lemon
2 cups powdered sugar (glaze)
1-2 tbsp half and half  (glaze)
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract ( glaze)
